This year marked Multi-Specialty HealthCare’s (MSHC) 6th annual hosting of their Fall Classic Golf Tournament. The event was held on Monday, October 10th at Chartwell Golf & Country Club in Severna Park, MD. One hundred and forty golfers together with sponsorships raised attended.

The event began when MSHC’s Managing Partner, Charles Thorne, was approached by his neighbors regarding a foundation they started. Leslie and Douglas Carson tragically lost their 22-year-old son, Jess, in a car accident in May of 2001. To continue their son’s legacy of a compassionate and generous spirit, they established The Jess Carson Foundation dedicated to offering hope to both critically and terminally ill children and their families during their difficult ordeal.

Multi-Specialty HealthCare decided to hold a charity event in Jess’s honor and began its inaugural tournament in October, 2006. Since then, they have consistently raised a steady increase of funds every year--collectively raising over $10,000 to date.

The event not only raises money for a great cause, but has turned into a great networking opportunity for sponsors and supporters, bringing out a range of vendors and businesses.

“We are very grateful to have the relationships and support of not only the suppliers and vendors that help sponsor our event, but also the people we continue to build strong business relationships with,“ states Dr. Thorne, MSHC Managing Partner.

Multi-Specialty HealthCare plans to continue this event annually in hopes to continue its effort.
