MSHC Attended MWCEA Conference

September 23, 2011

Multi-Specialty HealthCare’s (MSHC) marketing team—Paula Peters, Bruce Laird, Jenna Yalich and Lauren Yalich—along with MSHC’s Dr. Charles J. Thorne, Dr. Larry Yalich and Dr. Lawrence L. Rubin attended the 2011 Maryland Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA) Conference, held at the Clarion Resort and Conference Center in Ocean City, Maryland, from September 18 to 21. MSHC played a major role in supporting the Maryland Workers’ Compensation presence at the event through the provision of an onsite communications center, complete with computers and integrated IT services available to all attendees; the center was manned by MSHC’s CTO Michael Erway.

This year’s conference, expected more than 700 people, and featured respected professionals and offered comprehensive educational programs and numerous social events that brought together all stakeholders in the workers’ compensation community—including the Maryland State Workers’ Compensation Commission, plaintiff and defense bar associations, payors, support vendors, and medical, vocational rehabilitation and physical rehabilitation specialists.

"The annual MWCEA conference provided a wonderful opportunity for stakeholder interaction in a highly educational and social environment. This unique forum is ultimately beneficial for Maryland's injured workers, whom we are all here to serve," says Dr. Thorne, MSHC Managing Partner and MWCEA Board Member.
